According to Rev. Turner , we must go beyond the confines of the church walls. People are hurting and they don’t always come to the church, therefore we must take our ministry to the street. It’s not about church work, but rather the work of the church. We must go into the trenches and meet people where they are, that’s what church work and kingdom building is all about”.
Rev. Parker is a true leader who is committed to teaching in details the steps necessary to change our lifestyles says Valerie D., a participant in the ministry. He speaks to us about the promises of the book and allows us a glimpse of what life can be like. I recommend to those that come to be honest with yourselves, be patient and listen with an open heart and mind.
She also says to allow yourselves to learn how to live again or perhaps even for the first time. OFU is a wonderful step in starting a new life, she encourages those that are in need of this assistance to give yourself a chance.
The OFU Ministry meets each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings @ 6 p.m. in Smith Dining Hall of FBCC. Working along with Rev. Turner is Rev. William Pearson and a small team of other lay members.
Rev. Parker Turner, Associate Minister teaches a change of life through Jesus Christ in the “Out From Under “ Outreach Ministry. As Rev. Turner states in his personal testimony of being “free indeed”. He can do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or even think of asking….Praise God!
